Summer Family Fun at Parc Bryn Bach

This summer we have a wonderful array of activities for children of all ages and their families!

Whether you’re looking for something active and adventurous or something that can be enjoyed at a more relaxed pace, or even a stroll along one of our various walking trails - we have something for everyone!

Please remember that many of our outdoor adventure activities are weather dependent

Available Every Week:

Each week visitors to the park can enjoy a variety of activities for the whole family:

  • Summer Trail - Collect your sheet from reception and then follow the clues around the park, solving the puzzle as you go, then return to the visitor centre to collect your prize! £1.50 per child, no booking necessary.

  • Cave & Climb - Test out your skills on our outdoor climbing wall and man-made cave this summer at Parc Bryn Bach! £4.50 for one activity or £8 for two activities. No booking necessary.

  • Mini Golf - Challenge your friends and family to a game of mini golf, taking on our twisty 9 hole course just outside the visitor centre. £5 per person or £16 for a family/group of four, no booking necessary.

  • Go Kart Hire - Explore the park on a single, double-seater or four-seater go-kart this summer! prices range from £8.50 - £13.50 plus booking fee. Hire one online here!

  • Mountain Bike Hire - Take on our MTB trails around the park with one of our Giant Talon 4 hardtail mountain bikes! £10.50 per bike plus booking fee. Hire online here.

  • Paddlesport Hire - Make a splash on our lake with one of our water sports crafts this summer. Choose from a sit-on-top kayak (£8.50), stand up paddle board (£8.50), pedalo (£8) or canoe (£11.50). Hire online here.

Summer Clubs

This summer we have a variety of clubs to help children learn the basic skills needed for a variety of adventure activities, and full attendance of all the sessions can result in participants gaining an accreditation. All the following clubs are £6 per child, plus a booking fee.

  • Climbing Club (Ages 4-8) - Participants can achieve a NICAS Wild climbers accreditation, or NICAS CLIP accreditation. Find out more here.

  • Paddle Club (Ages 8+) - Participants can achieve a Paddle-Start accreditation if all sessions are completed . Find out more here.

  • Navigation Club (Ages 8-14) - Participants can achieve the NNAS Outdoor Discovery Award if all sessions are completed. Find our more here.

Adventure Activities

This summer we have a wide range of adventure activities for children to try out and even develop some basic skills.

  • On land we have: Archery Tag, Bush Craft, Mountain Bike Taster Sessions and Cave & Climb.

  • On the lake we have: Tiki SUP, Multicraft PaddleSport Taster Sessions and Raft Building.

  • On-Site Activity Days offer a combination of both, and may include the Climbing Wall, Caving, Bushcraft, Orienteering or Tiki SUP.

  • Off-Site Adventure: Gorge Walking - join us for an exhilarating day of climbing, jumping waterfalls, enjoying water slides and much, much more, all under the guidance of our experienced gorge walking leaders! £35 per person (plus booking fee) which includes return transport from Parc Bryn Bach. FREE Family Fun

  • Our children's play area is open daily 8.30am - 8.30pm and FREE to access. Inspired by the beautiful landscapes and nature found in the park, the play area offers a variety of equipment for children of all ages, as well as sensory stations, to inspire imaginative play.

  • Take a walk through our brand new Wildflower Trail - along the way you will see wooden sculptures of some of the flowers, butterflies and bees you can find at the park - scan the QR code on each sculpture and Blodwyn the Butterfly will tell you all about the flowers and why they’re so important to the biodiversity of the park.

  • Explore our FREE wildlife sculpture trail - scan the QR code on each wooden sculpture you find around the lakeside path and learn all about our wildlife from Dylan the Duck.

  • Enjoy a walk around our beautiful lakeside path - it's accessible for wheelchairs and pushchairs, offering the perfect opportunity for the whole family to enjoy the scenic views.

  • Go cycling around the lake or explore our mountain bike trails. There’s also a BMX pump track to try out your skills!

  • Relax in our sensory garden, it’s the perfect place to enjoy the calming beauty of nature and wonderful views of the lake.

  • Try out geocaching - the world's largest FREE treasure hunt - visit www.geocaching.com for info. All you need is a smartphone and explorer’s spirit!

Lake View Cafe and Outdoor Kiosk

Our Lake View Café is open daily, offering the perfect place to rest and recharge with a drink and a bite to eat after your adventures. Serving a variety of breakfast favourites, meals, snacks and salad pots, with a variety of gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options, there’s something for everyone! View our menus here.

The Lake View Café is dog friendly, so you can bring your four legged friend inside to enjoy a treat of their own - we have Utterly Mutterly doggy ice-cream available and a range of Sir Woofchesters dog treats. There’s also free drinking bowls available to help them

We also have an outdoor kiosk serving a variety of refreshments and ice-cream which is open Tuesday to Friday 4pm - 8pm, and on Saturday and Sunday from 11am - 6pm.
